Qi Gong (pronounced Chee Goong) is an ancient practice, bringing together movements from the hundreds of traditional forms into an accessible style for all levels of fitness and ages. The focus during practice is mindfulness of body and breath, as well as awareness of movement.
More than an exercise, this is a healing discipline for the body enabling the cultivation of energy, vitality and relaxation along with delivering a wide range of physical and mental health benefits; improving the functioning of the cardiopulmonary (heart & lungs), digestive, immune and lymphatic systems, decreasing stress, inflammation and chronic pain, improving sleep quality and optimising energy levels, focus and emotional regulation.
Classes are 40 minutes long, and closely aligned with our seasons and the 5 Element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
