Ayurveda is the science of life. Most forms of natural and complementary therapies can be traced back to roots in Ayurveda. It is first mentioned in one of the oldest philosophical texts known – the Rig Veda.

The emphasis is on prevention and healing therapies. There are a myriad of methods for purifying and rejuvenating the body, mind and soul.

Ayurveda has been a passion of Vickys since 2001.She uses a combination of naturopathic and Ayurvedic tools to support you in reaching your optimal state of health. Many of her clients have overcome painful and debilitating conditions after working with her. Her goal is to bring relief and resolution of the symptoms and discomfort of her clientsThese include

Women’s health – including PMS, menstrual pain, heavy bleeding, endometriosis, mood swings, food cravings & ovulation issues

Menopause symptoms – including anxiety, hot flushes, rosacea and poor sleep

Digestive symptoms – including gas, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, reflux, IBS and IBD

Arthritis symptoms – including knee, neck and general joint pain

Pain conditions – including polymyalgia, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue/CFS

Mental health – including anxiety and depression

Immune health – including recurring infections, colds and flu

How Does Ayurveda Approach Health?

Every person has different needs. That’s why the medicines are chosen based on your body type, digestion and presenting condition.

In Ayurveda, every aspect is considered when prescribing to a client. Your body type will affect which medicines suit your constitution. How you digest will determine the form used. As an example, if you have weakened digestion, a liquid medicine is easier to absorb. This is combined with improving digestive function, reducing the likelihood of symptoms returning.
